November 17, 2020Sensmet launches Virtual Piloting Laboratory for water monitoring to overcome COVID challenges
As we all know the global COVID pandemic has affected our lives in almost every possible way, and businesses are no different. We need to be creative in finding new forms of tools to tackle the challenges we face because of COVID restrictions on meetings and travelling. At Sensmet, we have developed a Virtual Piloting Laboratory concept to simulate live process monitoring experience for our customers using their real process samples.
Sensmet’s Customer Application Centre in Espoo, Finland works together with our global customers to perform live field piloting of our new real-time water quality analyser technology. In our new virtual pilot, we can perform real-time analysis of the customer process water samples using our breakthrough comprehensive water quality analyser based on micro-plasma optical emission spectroscopy. From the virtual pilot laboratory we live stream both comprehensive water quality data and high-definition video to our customers – in real time 24/7. This is an excellent way to make the first pilot using real process water samples.
“We were thinking how we could help our customers to get first-hand feeling about their own water samples measured using Sensmet technology. We won the Mining Hub innovation competition, for example, but as we were not able to travel Brazil for a field pilot, we built a virtual field laboratory. In brief, in our virtual pilot we are able to measure your samples and make controlled changes to the samples so that you can see in real-time the results at your own office”, says Janne Suhonen, Sensmet CCO.
Would you like to prove the greater water process efficiency, improved process uptime and/or reduced use of chemicals? Please contact Sensmet and we set up a virtual pilot for you.
